Get a Pickleball Paddle exists to make one decision easy: which paddle is right for you. Every paddle, one consistent formula, in one place — so you can decide in minutes instead of opening fifteen tabs.
We do the legwork — reading across the most trusted expert reviews, play-tests, and real buyer feedback — and turn it into one honest verdict for your skill level. We tell you what a paddle is great at, and just as importantly, who it's wrong for.
I'm a player. When I got into pickleball, the hardest part wasn't the game — it was the gear. Standing in front of a wall of paddles and a hundred conflicting reviews, I had no idea which one fit my skill level, or which would give me the best opportunity to actually learn the game and have success. I wasted money and time before I figured it out.
The right paddle gives you the best shot at improving and enjoying this game. The wrong one holds you back and you don't even know it. I lived that hurdle — and Get a Pickleball Paddle is my attempt to make it easier for the next player who just wants to get on the court with the right paddle in hand.
— Michael DeLaGuera, Founder
Every paddle, one consistent formula, in one place. Comparison tables and a shared rubric let you choose faster than opening fifteen tabs.
We tell you who a paddle is wrong for, not just who it's right for. That's where most review sites flinch — and it's the most useful thing we can do.
You can see how every score is derived, and each verdict synthesizes published independent reviews and manufacturer specs, logged in our source log.
The rubric, the sources we trust, and the standards every review follows are set by a human. AI brings the scale and consistency no solo reviewer could — and when a reader flags a wrong spec or a missing paddle, we fix it.
Reviews are drafted by three AI analyst personas — each tuned to a skill level — working from a rubric and source standards set by a human. The personas give every review a consistent voice; the framework keeps every verdict grounded in the sources.
An AI persona tuned to the competitive 5.0 perspective. Jake's reviews weigh power, spin, and tournament-level performance, synthesized from expert and player sources that test at the highest level.
An AI persona tuned to the coach's lens. Sarah's reviews and buying guides focus on who a paddle is right for — matching gear to play style for improving 3.0–4.5 players.
An AI persona tuned to the new-player perspective. Mike's reviews focus on value, forgiveness, and plain-English advice for people buying their first or second paddle.
For each paddle we collect published expert reviews, play-test write-ups by independent reviewers, and manufacturer specs — and log them.
We compare scores across power, control, spin, feel, and durability — noting where sources agree and where they disagree.
An AI analyst persona writes the verdict for a specific skill level, grounded entirely in the gathered source material.
Every review is labeled AI-synthesized, lists the dimensions it was scored on, and points back to the sources behind it. No fake first-hand testing claims.
When a reader flags a wrong spec, a missing paddle, or a verdict that's aged badly, a human updates it. We'd rather correct fast than pretend we're never wrong.
