Reviewers describe the effect with the same analogy JOOLA uses: the kick point of a hockey stick. The practical claim behind it is consistency, and the number cited across the coverage is a drop in launch-angle deviation from roughly 4.5 degrees on earlier models to about 1.5 degrees on the Pro V, meaning the ball leaves the face at a more predictable angle shot after shot.

On court, the consensus reads as an evolution rather than a reinvention. The rounded top corners keep the sweet spot centered while the elongated profile preserves the reach and plow-through the Perseus is bought for, and reviewers credit the Pro V with better energy absorption on touch shots and a cleaner release on drives than the Pro IV.
