Tournament Bag Checklist 2026: What to Pack for a Full Day of Play
A tournament day can mean hours between matches, changing weather and a lot of waiting. Here's a category-by-category checklist of what's worth packing, from a backup paddle to snacks and paperwork.
Why a checklist helps
Tournament days are long and unpredictable. Matches can start late, run back to back, or leave you waiting for hours. Courts may be indoors or out, and the weather can change during the day. Packing the night before, from a list, means you are not hunting for a grip or a water bottle when your court is called.
This is a general checklist built around gear categories. It is not any particular player's bag, and you will adjust it for your event, venue and climate.
Paddles: bring a backup
Bring your main paddle and a second one you are comfortable with. Paddles can crack, delaminate or simply feel off on the day, and a backup that plays similarly means you do not have to adjust mid-event. Ideally, the backup is the same model or a close match in weight and grip size.

Grips and paddle care
